Tactical Air Support in the Volturno Campaign, 1943 (1969). This analysis looks at the XII Tactical Air Command in support of US VI Corps in Italy. Performed for the Assistant Chief of Staff, Studies and Analyses, US Air Force this study uses extensive operational data, including some on German air activity. Included are all close support missions flown by both sides; daily loss summaries; and daily ammunition expenditures, and discussion of qualitative factors, and comments on results. 324 pages.
