I am interested in obtaining the following data: (1)US tank/TD/Cav battalion AFV strengths as each entered into the Ardennes Offensive. (2) German GHQ battalion AFV strengths as well as VG/Inf divisional AFV strengths. I have not found adequate information from Dupuy's "The Last Gamble", Parker's "Battle of the Bulge", or MacDonald's "A Time for Trumpets" - these appear to be the best sources out there. Also Dugdale's books are great for Pz/Pg divisions, but do not address the GHQ/VG/Inf units. In short, a really good set of figures is what I am interested in. Do they exist or am I just wasting your time?Terry

Somewhat late response, but there is a dated yet good German book out on the Ardennes, Hermann Jung: "Die Ardeennenoffensive 1944. Ein Beispiel für die Kriegführung Hitlers". It is some time I have read it, but it has some detailed AFV data at least for the Pz. divisions, though I am aware you already have these. Unfortunately I do not remember whether the book contains similar data for the GHQ units and infantry units.

Yes, I have read Jung. He has data on the Pz/Pg divs, but not much else. Rich has been very helpful regarding what does exist for US strengths, but unfortunately there does not appear to be anything published out there for most of what I am looking for other than the sources I have already mentioned. Actual microfilm documents would I am sure provide much of that data, but that is an expensive and time consuming full-time job! Thanks for your assistance.
