Gentlemen,may I direct your attention to the dissertation of Roman Toeppel on the battle of Kursk, which should basically represent state of the research on that in German historiography on that topic. Perhaps anyone has already been aware of it? The stats of the dissertation are: Roman Toeppel: "Die Offensive gegen Kursk 1943 - Legenden, Mythen und Propaganda", (The Kursk Offensive 1943 - legends, Myths and Propaganda). Best regards,

Hallo Michael!Kannst Du bitte die Quelle (Verlag, ISBN etc.) für das Buch über die Schlacht bei Kursk näher ausführen! An welcher Uni wurde diese Arbeit geschrieben? Vielen Dank, Thomas

I’m the author of the dissertation „Die Offensive gegen Kursk 1943“ and it might be of some interest for you that I have offered a PDF-version to the Dupuy Institute today – for free. If the colleagues of the Institute agree, you will be able to have free access to my dissertation via the Dupuy Institute’s website soon.The whole dissertation hasn’t been published yet. So there is no ISBN. A short version with some of the main parts was published in the “Militärgeschichtliche Zeitschrift”, No. 2/2002 (Oldenbourg Verlag, Germany) under the title “Legendenbildung in der Geschichtsschreibung – Die Schlacht bei Kursk” (Creation of legends in historiography – The battle of Kursk).
