Gentlemen,

First, I hope not to go off topic with this post, sorry If I do.

Well here my post:
Not all the interesting topics about war and attrition lie within the aspect of combat.
The time and resources needed to rebuild combat power is also a critical and strategic factor, I think.
Leaving for a while discussion about manpower (recruitment and training), I want to open a debate about equipment production.

For me is interesting to know how much time is needed to build a particular weapon system, that can be a rifle or an airplane.

Well, have we data about the time required to build, for example, a Tiger versus a T-34?

Is possible to have data more precise that mere man-hours? (that I see months ago in a post in another forum)
Let me explain my question: If I know that a tank need 1000 man-hours, I need also to know how the work is split in critical path and then found the real time passed in factory. So regardless of man-hours, who know how much time a T-34 will pass in the manufacturing plant from arrival of components to delivery after assembly? (It would be wonderful to know also the time required to produce components from raw materials...).

For example I have readed that a single modern F-18 require 2 years of work to be assembled, while WWII-era tanks are around 5,000-10,000 man hour.

Anyone have considerations about this topic?

W.
